Trauma-Informed Refresher

**Trauma-Informed Refresher: Recognizing and Responding with Compassion** Required Viewing for all Facilitators and Volunteers who were unable to attend the live training. This training was created to prepare facilitators and volunteers for Immersives, Intensives, and other Holistic Healing Alliance events. Participants will learn how to recognize common signs of emotional and nervous system activation, respond with compassion, remain within their role and scope, and connect individuals with appropriate support when needed. Topics include: • Trauma-informed awareness • HHA's trauma-informed principles • Facilitator and volunteer responsibilities • The CHOOSE Method® connection • Recognizing signs of activation • Emotional expression vs. emotional overwhelm • The HHA Support Protocol: Notice • Check In • Offer Choice • Call Support • Return to Role This training is intended as a practical refresher and overview. It is not a certification course and does not prepare participants to provide therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, or trauma treatment. By the end of the training, participants will have a clear understanding of how to help create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where individuals can honor their experiences while maintaining dignity, choice, and personal agency.
